In 1988, company founder Jay Sutherland started offering a cleaning and repair service for electronic equipment in the
business sector. He soon earned a reputation for quality service, attracting even more contracts and building a thriving
business.
That’s when Jay Sutherland officially founded the RELECTRONIC-REMECH INC. brand. The team continued to grow and the company solidified its reputation. The team accomplished ever more demanding contracts, making it the standard for excellence in its sector.
A year for the history books: The year: we expanded our service offering, grew our team and moved our head office to Waterloo.
As our business grew, we outgrew our space, so we headed east to Mississauga.
Our business continued to thrive and we expanded our services to the Ottawa Valley.
Another pivotal year for our company, we hired new experts to help support our growth and relocated to a larger facility. We continued to open branches to better serve our clients across the Ottawa region.
To better serve the province of Quebec, we opened our modern office in Ville Saint-Laurent, Montreal.

RELECTRONIC-REMECH INC. employs over 50 experts- over five locations. Janet O’Donnell, our current District Manager, has a 10-year history with the company and. brings experience in logistics and office administration. She is backed by Maryann Rhodes, our Mississauga office supervisor, along with an outstanding support staff. Our senior consultants have been there for disasters all across Canada.
In 2013, Paul served as project manager working with adjusters and contractors during the Medicine Hat arena disaster. He was a key player in the arena reopening ahead of schedule.
In 2016, Jay and a mobile crew of 12 technicians spent three months in Fort McMurray, helping to clean and restore televisions, appliances, and other electronic devices in over 1,600 rooms in nine hotels.
More recently, Greg has been helping insurance companies deal with ransomware and malware claims, an increasing risk in our industry. Kirk Labelle also travelled to Western Canada to lend his expertise to a CNC machine in Calgary, a tire recycling factory in Edmonton and a factory in Victoria, BC.
Our services have grown with the times and we now offer large mechanical equipment, manufacturing equipment and data recovery.
